FIRST TIME BLISSFUL SPIRITS ATTENDEES
FIRST TIME?
Welcome to Blissful Spirits Hot Yoga! At Blissful Spirits we believe that yoga is a practice that takes dedication and commitment. At the same time, we recognize that it can take awhile to start a new habit and that one yoga class is great but won't change your life.
At Blissful Spirits Hot Yoga, we want to offer an easy way for you to get started by giving you a $35.00 first month membership. This allows you to take as many classes as you like so you can see how Hot Yoga is going to work for you. We also offer your first class at only $5.00. We also offer state of the art studios with full amenities.
We look forward to seeing you on the mat!
“Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self.”

What is Hot Yoga?Hot Yoga is a sequence of yoga postures performed in a heated environment. The increased temperature in the room allows an increase in stretching and flexibility and helps to prevent injury. The hot temperature combined with the yoga poses means that you will sweat a lot and burn calories. Your body will experience a huge detoxification as well. Drinking plenty of fluid before, during, and after class is necessary.

What are the benefits of Hot Yoga?Hot yoga can help to improve flexibility, suppleness, and strength. Hot Yoga can also help with the ability to deal with stress and to increase relaxation. Hot yoga can be a very effective way of losing weight and toning up. The body can experience complete energy alignment (Chakra balancing) when performed on a regular basis and with proper posture (asana) alignment.

At what temperature is Hot Yoga performed? At Blissful Spirits, Hot Yoga is performed at a temperature of about 105 degrees Fahrenheit with 40% to 60% humidity. In Warm and Gentle yoga classes, the temperature is lowered to about 95 degrees Fahrenheit.

What do I need to bring to a Hot Yoga class and what should I expect? You may bring a towel, water to drink, and a mat (or you can use ours). If you are considering purchasing a mat we do sell them at the studio or you can also review this great article by ConsumersAdvocate.org and their reviews on the Best Yoga Mats. Wear very lightweight exercise clothing and bring a change of clothes for after class. You can count on getting sweaty. Try not to eat anything for at least 2 hours before your class. Drink plenty of water before, during, and after the class. Some students add electrolytes to water. You sweat out toxic chemicals from your body but also may sweat out important trace minerals. The electrolytes are essential trace vitamins and minerals your body needs to function at optimal levels. ALWAYS remember all postures are optional at our studio. You are never expected to do anything that you are not comfortable with. Be yourself and listen to your body.

What if I have no experience in yoga or I have an injury?Perfect. Hot Yoga is a great match for you AND everyone has to start somewhere! 90% of Hot Yoga students have no prior experience. Hot Yoga asanas have been created for the beginner and the average person. Yoga provides an incredible opportunity to get to know your body and reflect on what is out of balance. That “out of balance” part of you has a huge contributing factor as to why you became injured in the first place.
