Krista Garcia first found yoga after a life changing knee injury in 2011. As a former competitive runner, swimmer, and spin instructor Krista was skeptical at first but after her first hot yoga class at Blissful Spirits she was hooked.
Throughout her years of practice she has watched the physical benefits of yoga. She has seen the healing in her own body but also in her fellow students and friends. What she did not expect is how effective yoga is at healing and managing stress, anxiety, and just decompressing from our busy lifestyle. For the past seven years Krista continued to travel the world working in politics and the legal profession, informally sharing her yoga practice along the way. In 2016 Krista decided to settle down in Albuquerque and in 2017 she finally took a formal 200 hr Yoga Teacher Training at Blissful Spirits (and is so grateful she did!!).
Krista believes yoga is a powerful tool to heal your body, heal your mind, and find balance in life that usually encourages you to overwork and not take care yourself.
Blissful Spirits' wide variety of classes allows her to grow her practice and connect with many different students. Her favorites to teach are Hot Vinyasa, Power Flow, and Sculpt. She would love for you to join her on your mat!
