Aubrey found yoga while she was finishing her doctorate in Linguistics at the University of New Mexico. She discovered that bringing peace into her life through yoga helped her overcome challenging situations, think more clearly, and achieve her goals. After she finished her PhD, Aubrey realized that she wanted to help others discover how yoga can improve their lives in the way she did, so she decided to become a yoga instructor. In the summer of 2017, she completed her hot yoga and yin yoga training through Blissful Spirits 200 RYT Teacher Training. Aubrey’s yoga style reflects her pursuit of balance in life. Her favorite style is yin-yang, which is made up of a slow-paced, cool stretching portion and a fast- paced, hot vinyasa portion, bringing the body and mind into harmony.
